With on-premises, Keycloak runs in your own infrastructure – on your servers, in your data center or your private cloud. loginfactor provides technical support: troubleshooting, extension development and integration. You retain full control over your data and systems.

Q: Who is responsible for what?

You take care of hardware, operating system, network and backups. loginfactor takes care of Keycloak: configuration, customization, support when problems occur, extension development and integration into your applications. We define the exact division of responsibilities together in the service agreement.

Q: What prerequisites do I need?

You need server infrastructure (physical or virtual) with Linux, sufficient resources for Keycloak and a database connection. loginfactor advises on sizing and supports the initial setup. For high-availability setups, we plan the architecture together.

Q: How does support work?

loginfactor provides support in English and German with direct contacts – no anonymous ticket systems. An SLA guarantees response times, from business support (8x5) to 24/7 availability.

Q: Can loginfactor also develop extensions?

Yes. loginfactor develops custom authenticators, user federation providers, event listeners, protocol mappers and other Keycloak extensions. loginfactor adapts login pages to your corporate design and integrates Keycloak into your system landscape.

Q: What does on-premises support cost?

Yes. loginfactor supports migration from on-premises to cloud hosting. Your configuration, users and data are migrated. The switch happens without vendor lock-in – Keycloak is open source.
