Selection Screen for Users With Multiple MFA Methods

If a user has registered multiple MFA methods, the extension shows a selection screen during login: TOTP app, SMS or passkey – the user decides. The problem: By default, Keycloak uses the first registered method. Users with multiple methods have no choice. The solution: The extension adds a selection step – only when multiple methods are available.

How it works

Selection only when multiple methods exist

If a user has registered only one MFA method, it is used directly. If there are multiple methods, the selection screen appears. Supports all Keycloak MFA methods: TOTP, passkeys, SMS.

SMS MFA, User Portal

With the SMS MFA extension, SMS becomes available as an additional option. In the user portal, users can manage their MFA methods themselves.
